Your send rate may change as you go through the process of booking your transfer. Here are the most common reasons why.
In this article, we’ll cover:
- What factors affect my send rate?
- Your transfer no longer qualifies for the original rate
- How will I know if my rate has changed?
What factors affect my send rate?
We work with a network of global partners to send your money quickly and securely, while minimising charges where possible.
The route your money takes depends on several factors including the currency you’re sending, where and how you’re sending it, and the information you provide.
As a result, your send rate may change as you progress through the transfer process.
Your transfer does not qualify for the original rate
We’'ll always try to send your transfer at the best rate.
However, some of our partners can't accept certain types of transfers—typically payments to businesses or specific transfer purposes.
While these cases are the exception, this information may cause our system to automatically re-price your transfer. In this case, your send rate is likely to decrease.
We always tell you when your send rate changes
If your send rate has changed, we’ll let you know before you confirm your transfer. Look out for the banner message at the top of your screen.
Rest assured, we’re always working to send your transfer as quickly as possible and at the best available rate.
