How do I pay by bank transfer?
To pay by bank transfer:

- Choose Bank transfer as your payment method
- Complete your transfer as normal
- Once you've confirmed your transfer, you'll need to arrange payment for your transfer with your bank
Where will I find your payment details?
You'll find our bank account details in your online account and your contract note once you've confirmed your transfer.
- Click on Activity
- Click Details next to the transfer where action is required
- In Your actions click See BIPS bank details and our bank account details will show
You'll also find our bank details in your contract note.
Making sure your payment reaches us without delay
To make sure that your transfer isn’t delayed, please double check that:
The name on your bank account matches the name on your BIPS account.
- If the name doesn't match, we won't be able to process your transfer. If you have a joint bank account, please read these helpful instructions.
You’ve entered your contract reference number correctly.
- This helps us match your payment to your transfer. Your reference always begins with a ‘C’ and is typically 8 or 9 characters long. For example: C12345678.
You've sent the correct amount.
- If you pay more or less than we're expecting, your transfer could be delayed.
What are the limits for bank transfers?
There are no send limits on our side for bank transfers. However, some banks have daily, weekly or monthly limits, so it's worth checking these with them directly.
If your bank's limit means that you can't send the full amount in one go, you can pay in instalments instead.
How long does it take to send money by bank transfer?
It normally takes 2 working days for bank transfers to reach us. Only then can we send your transfer to your recipient.
Are there any fees for bank transfer payments?
Whilst there is no payment method fee for these transfers, they may still be subject to a send fee. You’ll see the exact fee before you confirm your money transfer.
Please note that the sending bank may charge a fee for payments sent to us. This is outside of our control, so we recommend checking with your bank in advance.
Can I cancel my bank transfer transaction?
We'll always try to cancel your transfer if you ask us to but, once we've sent your money we won't be able to.
If you do need to cancel your transfer, contact us as soon as possible to request this.
| Please note: Although we’ll try our best to help you avoid any charges, you may be liable for costs incurred if you fail to settle. |
If you're in the process of sending money and haven't confirmed your transfer yet, click the logo in the top left-hand corner to leave the send money process.
